I have been selected!
I'm absolutely delighted that Art & Grind, Guildford have selected my painting "Where the light touches" to be featured in their summer exhibition. I submitted three pieces of work several months ago, not expecting to be chosen, and got the surprise of my life when they got in touch to say the judges had selected one of my paintings.
"Where the light touches" was inspired by summer walks through Winkworth Arboretum (www.winkworth https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/surrey/winkworth-arboretum), watching the sunlight filter through the beautiful florals and glistening through the trees.
Art Venture Trust
Every Wednesday morning, I get to take a little break from the everyday routine and spend a couple of hours being creative with the lovely bunch at Art Venture (https://www.art-venture.co.uk). It honestly feels like such a gift - I always leave feeling inspired! It's helping me loosen up with my art, worry less about being perfect, and just enjoy the process. Being in a space where all kinds of art are welcomed, and being around such amazing people, is pure joy.
Art & Grind - Colours of Summer Exhibition (20 May to 1 June)
I was feeling pretty nervous (but also really excited!) to go to the Art & Grind summer exhibition private view to see my painting on show among other amazing art created by local artists. I went with my mum and sister, and we ended up meeting so many lovely people and seeing such a great mix of art. One of the things I loved most was how supportive all the artists were - I got some really great advice that I’ll definitely carry with me on my journey.
